Y&R casting two new roles; one's got musical talent

The Young and the Restless is looking to bring two new characters to Genoa City, and one may be crooning to her heart's content.

Genoa City is going to be two residents larger come 2017, and it looks like the show might be getting a musical spin, as well.

The CBS Daytime soap has put out casting calls for two new characters, Soap Opera Digest reports.

The first is for a 32-year-old Caucasian male to play Marcus, a dashing and passionate journalist.

The other is for a 25-year-old actress to play the contract role of Ivy, described as a free-spirited, fun-loving singer.

No other details are available at the moment, but Soap Central will let you know as soon as more information is released.
