The Young and the Restless alum Mckenna Grace (ex-Faith Newman) has dropped a pop-rock breakup song and music video titled "You Ruined Nirvana."

Multi-talented entertainer Mckenna Grace (ex-Faith Newman, The Young and the Restless) continues to prove that she's a force to be reckoned with. In addition to amassing an impressive list of acting credits that includes Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Young Sheldon, and The Handmaid's Tale, the Texas native is also a budding musician whose catchy catalog of tunes keeps growing.

Back in November, Grace released her first song, "Haunted House," which she followed up with "do all my friends hate me?" She has now dropped her third tune, a pop-rock breakup song called "You Ruined Nirvana."

"I wrote this with @kannertime and @codytarpleyy (and Gizmo)," the actress shared on Instagram. "I had been writing so many sad songs at that time and just wanted to write something really fun. I wanted to create something where I could go in my room, shut the door and yell at the top of my lungs. The song is about that feeling you get when you can't listen to a song anymore without thinking of someone...for me, a song can bring me back to EXACTLY what I was feeling when I heard it -- happy, sad, angry, lonely, etc. I grew up listening to Nirvana because of my Dad and I love 90's/early 2000's music-it was fun to reference some of my favorite songs from that era (so don't take the song too literally!). I hope you enjoy it!!"

Grace also adds, "Ps... (so people aren't mad at me) don't worry guys I don't curse in everyday life, but I feel like sometimes intense emotions or the stories I'm writing call for it...so if you are offended by curse words, listen to the clean version...or you can skip this song."

Mckenna Grace got her start in the entertainment business with the role of Y&R's Faith, which she played from 2013 to 2015. Some of her other credits include Gifted, Captain Marvel, and The Haunting of Hill House. She can next be seen starring in the Disney+ adventure film Crater, in Olivia Wilde's Perfect, in Peacock's true-crime drama A Friend of the Family, and in a Lifetime film that she wrote and will executive produce.
