At Forrester, Dayzee and Marcus slipped into Rick's office to make out, but were embarrassed when they saw Amber in the room. Amber was content to leave them to their business, if they'd tell her where Rick was. Rick hadn't text-messaged Amber back as he'd usually do, and Amber was concerned. The couple advised Amber to give Rick some breathing room to make his decision, but Amber figured there was no choice to be made, because she wouldn't let anyone kick her to the curb.

Marcus left to pick up some preliminary sketches of Dayzee's wedding gown, and Dayzee warned Amber that Rick might become interested in Caroline. Amber, however, was confident that she'd wind up with Rick. Amber counted upon Hope siding with her, but Dayzee found that to be a long shot because of what Amber had done to Liam. Amber stated that Hope had been under attack, and since Amber knew how that felt, she was helping Hope through it.

On a laptop, Amber scanned for an online pharmacy to buy medication for her "allergies." Dayzee advised against that, because unregulated pharmacies put garbage in their pills. Dayzee claimed that they used lead-based paint to color them and put things like speed and boric acid in them as fillers. Dayzee said she'd known people who'd ordered online drugs and weren't alive to talk about it.

In the pool house, Hope tried, but failed, to resist the urge to take a pill. She popped one into her mouth and headed out to the deck, where Caroline relaxed with Thomas, Rick, and a chocolate-colored poodle by her side. Caroline gleefully decided to stick around and give Los Angeles a try. As they discussed a "talking" dog video they'd seen on the Internet, Hope opened a water bottle and glanced around to see if anyone had noticed her trembling hand.

No one had noticed, and Hope laughed with them over the video. Caroline suggested that Hope invite Liam to the party. As Hope did so, the rest of the gang went inside for snacks.

In Bill's office, Liam walked in on Bill and Katie making out. Bill said Liam could be making out with his wife, too, but Katie advised her stepson to ignore her husband. Liam admitted that he was worried about Hope's erratic behavior, and Bill called Hope a picture of mental instability.

Liam received a call from Hope about the impromptu pool party. He said he'd check his workload and call her back. After the call, Liam asked Bill for the day off, but Bill said to have the liaison with Hope on Liam's own time. Certain Bill would let Liam go off with Steffy, Katie insisted that Liam go. Bill figured no one listened to him anyway, and as Liam left, Bill and Katie resumed their canoodling.

Back at the mansion, Hope went to the guesthouse to find everyone, and Thomas and Rick left the women to make food while the men returned to the pool. A giddy Hope told Caroline that it didn't matter what the rest of the world said, because being with Liam was awesome. Liam walked in and seconded her statement, and Hope giggled with delight at the sight of him.

Hope cooed about how cool it was that Liam had a new cousin. Liam agreed, and Caroline announced that she was remaining in L.A. Tossing her head against Liam's shoulder, Hope gushed about how fantastic it was to have the pool party in the middle of the day.

Back by the pool, Thomas tried to make a pitch to Caroline to work with him on a new, classic line, but Rick approached, perplexed that the hostess of the pool party hadn't been in the pool. Rick raced her into the pool, and Thomas shrugged and cannonballed into the water.

As the others frolicked in the pool, Hope swayed to the music and implored Liam to dance with her. He declined and stared worriedly at her as she twirled around, saying she'd dance by herself. In a singsong tone, Hope exclaimed that they were flying above all the haters in total freedom. Liam cupped her chin, looked into her eyes, and said, "No, seriously, are you okay?"

Hope insisted she was fine, but Liam said she was having weird mood swings. She stumbled, and he braced her. She claimed she was fine, but he asserted that she was starting to freak him out. He demanded to know what was wrong with her. Hope said she was lightheaded from not eating. He wanted to talk more about it, but she flounced over to the diving board to take a dip in the water.

Liam told Hope that it wasn't a good idea, but as she danced around on the board, she insisted that she was having far too much fun. The worried Liam stooped at the water's edge beside the others at the opposite end of the pool. Rick, Thomas, and Caroline convinced Liam that the stressed Hope deserved to kick back and have some fun.

As Rick restarted the conversation about the talking dog video, Hope shimmied around on the diving board. In her mind, everything around her slowed down, and, as if her body had run out of batteries, her movements also slowed to a stop. Hope wobbled and fell off the diving board. She splashed in the water, where she floated facedown. Unaware, the others laughed and chatted at the shallow end of the pool.

At the Forrester pool, Liam, Rick, Caroline, and Thomas joked around at one end of the pool while Hope danced around at the other end. Liam called to Hope, but she had disappeared ... under water. Liam, Rick, Caroline, and Thomas pulled an unconscious Hope to safety, where she coughed and choked up water. Hope oddly laughed as if it had all been a silly accident. Everyone worried that she needed to go to the emergency room, but Hope insisted she was fine. She claimed that she had been dizzy and had probably passed out because she hadn't eaten.

Liam, Rick, Caroline, and Thomas insisted that Hope needed medical treatment, but she refused. They all moved indoors to the guesthouse where Hope told them all to lighten up. Liam, Rick, Caroline, and Thomas noted that she was behaving oddly. Thomas left to get Hope a sandwich, and Rick stared at Hope in disbelief. Hope laughed inappropriately, and Liam asked Caroline and Rick to give him some time alone with Hope.

Liam warned that he was very concerned. Hope joked that she was faking to get his attention and laughed that he had saved her. Liam was shocked at her response. He reminded her that if he and the others hadn't been at the pool, she would have drowned. Hope told him to chill, and Liam was exasperated.

Hope went outside to get some fresh air, but she started shaking and realized something was wrong. She looked inside the windows at Liam and realized how frustrated he was with her behavior.

In the guesthouse kitchen, Rick and Caroline discussed Hope, but conversation quickly turned to flirting. Caroline asked about Rick's relationship with Amber. Rick said he did not want to discuss Amber. Rick asked about Caroline's past, and she was evasive. They decided to play tennis.

At Forrester Creations, Amber was looking at online pharmacies to purchase prescriptions. Dayzee entered and caught her. Dayzee warned that buying drugs online without a prescription was dangerous. Amber flashed back to how she had already ordered pills and put them in Hope's antianxiety medication bottle. Dayzee told Amber that pills purchased without a prescription on the Internet were from other countries, and she had no guarantee of what she was getting. Amber argued that it had to be safe because it was so easily accessible, but Dayzee said the pills could be coming from anywhere.

Inside the Forrester mansion, Steffy arrived to see Stephanie, and Stephanie told her that Liam, Rick, Caroline, Hope, and Thomas were all by the pool. Steffy said that she had seen Liam after she returned from Aspen. Steffy related that Liam had said that he missed her. Stephanie noticed that Steffy was still wearing her wedding ring. "Does that make me desperate or committed?" Steffy asked.

Stephanie noted that Hope and Liam had become quite an item. Stephanie and Steffy discussed that Hope seemed to have some wacky mood swings. Stephanie told Steffy that she had to meet Caroline, Liam's cousin. Stephanie was sure that Steffy would like Caroline. Stephanie added that Thomas and Rick liked Caroline.

Thomas entered and said that he was getting food for Hope, who had passed out on the diving board and fallen in the water. He added that Hope didn't seem to be herself. Stephanie wanted to call paramedics, but Thomas said she was fine.

Steffy went outside and looked down at the pool but saw no one. She called out to Caroline and Liam, but no one answered. She stared at the pool and reminisced about good times with Liam. Suddenly, he appeared on the terrace, and they embraced and smiled.

On the Forrester patio, Steffy thanked Liam for the hug and teased that it was nice to get a hug from her husband. Steffy said that she had heard that Hope had passed out and fallen in the pool. Steffy joked that Liam was good at saving people who had fallen into water. Liam shared that Hope had told him to stop overreacting to her fall in the water.

Liam and Steffy discussed Hope's odd mood swings. Liam admitted that he and Hope had argued, and Hope had left. Steffy warned that Hope was a Logan, and Logans always had drama and complications. Liam noted that Steffy was still wearing her wedding ring. She said she would never give up on their marriage.

At Forrester, Hope walked in on Amber in an office. Hope admitted that she was a mess and needed a quiet space. Amber encouraged Hope to open up about what was wrong. Hope had a meltdown and confessed everything to Amber. Hope added that she had passed out and fallen into the pool.

Hope admitted that Liam was concerned, and she made light of the entire incident. Amber befriended Hope and promised to keep her secrets. Amber wondered if the medication was a problem. Hope said that her doctor had told her to take it as needed because it helped.

Hope admitted that her fans had turned on her, media followed her everywhere, and she was disappointed in herself. Hope worried that Steffy was waiting for Hope to screw up with Liam so that Steffy could get back together with him. Hope said that she was embarrassed and disgusted.

Hope decided to tell Liam the truth, but she worried that he would leave her. Amber encouraged Hope to tell Liam the truth. Hope called Liam and apologized. They agreed to meet at home.

In Ridge's office, Taylor told Ridge that she was worried about Steffy wasting her life, waiting for Liam like Taylor had waited for Ridge. Thomas entered and told them about Hope passing out and falling into the pool. He said that Hope had claimed to be fine, but she'd obviously had something wrong.

Thomas said that he knew something was wrong between Hope and Liam. Taylor and Ridge wanted to know if Brooke knew about Hope's accident. Thomas said that he was unaware what Brooke knew, but Steffy had been at the Forrester mansion when the accident took place.

After Thomas and Ridge left, Steffy entered and met with Taylor. Steffy claimed that she was confident Hope and Liam's relationship was about to fall apart. Steffy said that Hope was the wrong girl for Liam. Taylor warned Steffy not to wait for Liam, but Steffy refused to give up.

When Hope and Liam met at the house, Hope apologized to Liam for everything. She tearfully admitted that she had been keeping a secret from him. Hope came clean and shared that she had been seeing a psychiatrist and taking antianxiety medication. She cried that it was why she had not been herself. Liam looked stunned.

At the cliff house that morning, Hope spoke in hushed tones on the phone with Brooke. Hope assured her mother that she was fine and said Liam had taken her to get checked out at the hospital the night before. Hope didn't want to talk about her relationship with Liam behind his back anymore, and she felt like an idiot for confiding in Amber and others instead of turning to Liam.

Liam awakened, and Hope ended her call. She thanked him for his support the other night. He said he was the one man who loved her, and she shouldn't fear opening up to him. She promised to never hide things from him again.

Hope checked her emails and sighed upon seeing a poll that rated her as typical celebrity trash. She joked that she had to be a better grade of trash than "typical."

Later, Amber arrived to see Hope, but Liam warned Amber not to cozy up to his girlfriend, who was out on an appointment. Amber asked if he were too controlling to let Hope have friends. Liam claimed he wasn't, but Amber wouldn't be one of Hope's friends.

Amber revealed that she knew Hope had been dreading going home the previous night. Though he felt it wasn't Amber's business, he stated that he and Hope had experienced the best night of their lives together. Amber said she was glad, and Liam grew suspicious at Amber's concern.

As Liam ushered her the door, Amber said Hope had confided in her about the fall in the pool. He softened toward Amber, who then asked if he'd had Hope checked out at the hospital. He replied that a doctor had cleared her, but Amber asked if Hope had taken a blood test to find out why she'd fainted. Liam hastily reassured Amber that it was fine, and he shut the door.

On the porch, Amber stared at the bag of pills she had in her purse.

At Dr. Barton's office, Stacey noted that Hope seemed different. Hope revealed that she'd unburdened herself by opening up to Liam. It had been difficult for her to do, because it had meant realizing that something was wrong with her – which she hated doing.

Hope confessed that ever since her childhood, she'd forced herself to be in control and perfect, because she'd often had to put the pieces together for her mother. She recalled that people had used to tell her, "You're such a big girl." She'd just realized that it had all been an act, and she wasn't more mature or capable than others. It had felt great to Hope to allow herself to accept that.

Stacey asked what the experience had taught Hope. Hope said she'd learned not to do things that she had to lie about. Stacey, however, reasoned that Hope shouldn't be ashamed, but proud, to seek help for her sexual panic. Hope told Stacey about the online poll, and Stacey said people could be cruel when hiding behind their keyboards.

Hope didn't think what she was doing with Liam was right, but she felt she couldn't tell him that because he'd sacrificed so much to be with her. Hope believed he saw his marriage as a technicality. It wasn't to her, but she was worried that if he knew how she felt, he'd figure that she was afraid of sex. Hope said the pills had helped her forget the hypocrisy she'd been faced with. Though she knew she had to suffer with her situation for a few more months, she insisted that she could do it without the pills.

Stacey stated that the pills should have been gone for a while, but Hope clarified that she was referring to the new prescription. Stacey replied that she hadn't given Hope a new prescription. Hope was confused and cited that Stacey had send over 12 more pills. Stacey denied that, but Hope offered to retrieve the pill case from her car to prove it.

Stacey got a call for an emergency admission to the hospital. Before leaving to deal with it, Stacey ordered Hope to discard any pills she had, because Stacey had not prescribed them.

At Forrester visiting Brooke, Donna entered Ridge's office and announced that she was still alive. Donna said she was single and jobless, which made her feel as if she didn't exist. Donna didn't yearn to have careers like her sisters had, but she'd loved working at Forrester. Brooke contemplated giving Donna the Forrester receptionist job, but Brooke warned that she'd have to get Ridge's consent first. Donna replied that Brooke had convinced Ridge of a lot stranger things than hiring Donna.

In another office, Pam slinked in, and Stephanie wondered how her sister had gotten by security. Pam figured things had changed after the anniversary party. "That's because I'm such a sap!" Stephanie grumbled, adding that Pam never learned, just like their mother. Pam said Stephanie was like Anne because neither woman had ever thought Pam could do anything right. Stephanie declared that it was because Pam really couldn't do anything right.

Pam admitted that she wasn't grown up, and she couldn't live her life without someone telling her what to do. Stephanie praised the Lord for wisdom, and Pam said Stephanie was the only person who could keep Pam centered. Stephanie declined to be anyone's authority figure, but suggested that Pam needed more than baking to fulfill herself.

Pam hesitantly asked if she could have her old job back, but Stephanie claimed that Ridge and Eric would shoot Stephanie if she rehired Pam. Pam replied that the men would do what Stephanie said, because Stephanie was their "authority figure."

Pam went into the corridor and was surprised to see Donna at the receptionist desk. Donna wondered what Pam wanted, and Pam suggested that Donna call security to say that someone was in Pam's seat. Donna contended that it had become her seat, because her sister had hired her to sit in it. Pam retorted that she'd been hired by her sister, Stephanie.

Donna guessed someone needed to make a final decision on whose job it was. Pam grabbed a box tape dispenser and pasted a strip of tape down the middle of the desk. Pam declared it the coodie line and said that Donna and her leopard underpants had better stay on the right side of it. Donna snarled and scooted over to side.
